Basketball Game Preview: Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets vs. Washington Christian Academy Wildcats

The Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets and the Washington Christian Academy Wildcats will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chapelgate Christian Academy will be strutting in after a win while Washington Christian Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Chapelgate Christian Academy turned things around against Varsity Opponent on Friday. They took down Varsity Opponent 69-55.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chapelgate Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Grant, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten assists. Grant also grabbed seven steals, which is notable because the Yellowjackets are 2-1 when he posts at least five steals, but 1-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Paul Ayivor, who shot 56% from the field en route to 18 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Washington Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 54-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Field.

Washington Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
