Basketball Recap: Dwayne Foreman III's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hope Academy over Seminole

Hope Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 78-73 heartbreaker at the hands of the Seminole Seminoles.

Hope Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dwayne Foreman III, who went 7 for 14 en route to 17 points in addition to six assists and four steals. Foreman III has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last eight times he's played. Nehemiah Rapael was another key player, going 6 of 8 on his way to 17 points and five boards.

Hope Academy's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Seminole, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Hope Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-54 victory against International Community on the 27th. As for Seminole, they will square off against Eustis at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Eustis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season.
