After four games on the road, The Village School of Naples is heading back home. They will take on the Marco Island Academy Rays at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Village School of Naples has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
The Village School of Naples scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Naples Classical 100-53 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win The Village School of Naples has managed all season.
Meanwhile, Marco Island Academy had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their matchup at home on Monday with ease, bagging a 65-30 victory over Mason Classical Academy. The win was just what Marco Island Academy needed coming off of a 73-33 loss in their prior game.
Marco Island Academy found their leader in underclassman Nick Sadler, who scored 34 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sadler has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Jones, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
The Village School of Naples' win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Marco Island Academy, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9.
Everything came up roses for The Village School of Naples against Marco Island Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 84-53 victory.
