Softball Recap: Franklin County's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Franklin County entered their tilt with Holy Cross on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 19-4 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Flyers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Camryn Kelly, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Lillie Pollard was another key player, going 2-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Franklin County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in four consecutive games.

Franklin County's record is now 11-5. As for Holy Cross, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin County will head out to take on Western Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holy Cross, they will venture away from home to square off against Atherton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars are facing the Ravens at the right time seeing as the Ravens are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
