 Benton Central had to endure  a  four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with  a   5-1  win over the Morgan Township Cherokees  on Saturday.
  Tyler Klemme was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  struck out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Klemme has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. Klemme was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Benton Central let  Ryan Foster and  Grant Weise loose on the outfield. Foster  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3, while  Weise  scored a  run while going 2-for-2.  Dylan Ford was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 On Morgan Township's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Grant Cowger, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Benton Central's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Morgan Township, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 7-6.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Benton Central beat Morgan Township by a score of  11-1 later that day.
