After each having a week off, the Providence School Stallions and the KIPP Bold City Greyhounds will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. KIPP Bold City took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Providence School, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Providence School made easy work of Impact Christian Academy and carried off a 34-12 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Stallions.

Caden Jones was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 102 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 47 receiving yards and one TD. Providence School is 2-1 when Jones posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jake Contner, who threw for 118 yards and one touchdown on only seven passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Providence School was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 214 rushing yards. They are 3-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Meanwhile, KIPP Bold City was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Ridgeview, falling 31-8. On the bright side, the eight- point performance marked the Greyhounds' highest-scoring contest to date.
Even if they lost, KIPP Bold City's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Raykwon Harris and Keymauri Gaines, who racked up all four sacks between them. With that strong performance, Gaines is now averaging an impressive 5.1 total tackles per game. KIPP Bold City got some further help from Jonathan Pierre: he made ten total tackles and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.
KIPP Bold City's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Providence School, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. Providence School has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 158.7 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for KIPP Bold City, though, as they've been averaging only 62.3 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for Providence School against KIPP Bold City in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-12 victory. In that matchup, the Stallions amassed a halftime lead of 35-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
