Mojave hadn't done well against Legacy recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Rattlers blew past the Longhorns 60-27. Fans of the Rattlers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

A'Yanna Johnson was nothing short of spectacular: she shot 89% from the field on her way to 17 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Carroll, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 12 points and three steals.

Despite the loss, Legacy still got an impressive performance from Brooklyn Jordan, who posted nine points and five boards. Iyanais Vincent was another key player, putting up five points.

The win (which was Mojave's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points on average this season. As for Legacy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Mojave has already played their next game, a 59-37 win against Somerset Academy Losee on the 5th. As for Legacy, they will square off against Del Sol at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Longhorns will need to watch out since the Dragons have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
