After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Waverly, Grand Ledge was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-56 victory over the Williamston Hornets. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Hornets are ranked 396th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Grand Ledge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. Williamston has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Grand Ledge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 59-53 defeat against Everett on the 21st. As for Williamston, they have also already played their next game, a 52-43 win against Fowlerville on the 20th.
