Softball Recap: Crestview Comes Up Short

If Crestview was feeling good fresh off their 18-8 takedown of Allen East on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bath Wildcats on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 13-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Violet Dirr was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Aleigha Brown, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Crestview's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Bath, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.

Crestview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-5 loss against Jefferson on the 1st. Bath has also already played their next match (against Indian Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
