Baseball Recap: Mukwonago Gets the Win

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Mukwonago nor Arrowhead made it on the board until the tenth inning. The Indians skirted past the Warhawks 2-1. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 4-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Ben Jones tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Mukwonago saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam Kudronowicz, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

The win made it two in a row for Mukwonago and bumps their season record up to 10-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Arrowhead, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 10-4 record.

Mukwonago will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warhawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
