Baseball Game Preview: West Ranch Wildcats vs. Golden Valley Grizzlies

For the second straight game, West Ranch will face off against Golden Valley. The Wildcats will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Grizzlies at 3:15 p.m. The timing is sure in West Ranch's favor as the squad sits on 13 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Golden Valley has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

West Ranch not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 2nd (when they won 12-0). They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over Golden Valley.

Mikey Murr was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Nolan Stoll was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: West Ranch kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Golden Valley only managed five hits.

Golden Valley's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for West Ranch, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-9.
