Hammond Morton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Griffith, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Hammond Morton will challenge East Chicago Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Hammond Morton's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Griffith, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Boone Grove on the 26th.
