Basketball Recap: Windsor Forest's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After a string of four wins, Windsor Forest's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost to the Calvary Day Cavaliers on the road by a 64-47 margin. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Page, who made all 5 shots he took for 15 points. Page's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sean Cabellero, who made all 5 shots he took racking up 14 points.

Windsor Forest's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Calvary Day, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Windsor Forest will take on Bolles in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Windsor Forest is facing Bolles at the right time seeing as Bolles is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Calvary Day, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 3:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
