 Mason County proved they can win big  last Tuesday (they won by 14) but  on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fleming County Panthers  and snuck past  5-3. The  victory was nothing new for Mason County as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Mason County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Hayden Workman, who  went 1-for-3 with three  RBI and a  double.
 On Fleming County's side,  Adam Hargett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned  (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.
 Mason County now  has a winning record of 14-13. As for Fleming County, they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-17.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mason County will  challenge Montgomery County at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Fleming County, they will head out on the road to  take on  Rose Hill Christian at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
