A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Erie Tigers duke it out with the Cherokee Trail Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday... Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Erie is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Silver Creek to the tune of 63-18 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Erie's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Sophie Husk, who went 5 of 12 en route to 14 points and five steals, and Juliet Slater, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave Slater a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Greenlee, who posted 11 points and six boards.

Erie smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Cherokee Trail on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Vista PEAK Prep out of the water with an 84-38 final score. That 46 point margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.

Cherokee Trail's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Erie, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
