Basketball Recap: Kayshaun Rutherford and Kavontay Rose Secure Win for Ragin Prep Christian Academy

Ragin Prep Christian Academy saw some tournament action on Monday. They came out on top against the Kingstree Blazers by a score of 43-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Ragin Prep Christian Academy was led to victory by Kavontay Rose and Kayshaun Rutherford. Rose dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Rutherford posted five points in addition to eight boards and four blocks. The contest was Rose's third in a row with at least 15 points.

Several Blazers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joshua Brown, who earned 12 points and six steals. Another player making a difference was Benjamin Washington, who scored nine points.

Ragin Prep Christian Academy now has a winning record of 2-1.

Ragin Prep Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-44 defeat against Branchville on the 25th. As for Kingstree, they have also already played their next game, a 58-52 loss against East Clarendon on the 25th.
