Schuylkill Haven had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Shamokin Area on Saturday. The Hurricanes put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 9-3 win. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Teagan Wehr, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ally Becker, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Schuylkill Haven's record is now 13-6. As for Shamokin Area, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Looking ahead, Schuylkill Haven will challenge Weatherly at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Shamokin Area, they will face off against Williamsport at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
