Basketball Game Preview: Marshall Tigers vs. Tea Titans

The Marshall Tigers and the Tea Titans will round out the year against one another at at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

While Marshall didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by a 68-47 margin over Pipestone on Friday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Tea beat Watertown 68-56 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Tea's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Marshall, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Marshall didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Tea in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 73-67 victory. Will Marshall repeat their success, or does Tea have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
