Basketball Recap: Mcqueen's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

While McQueen didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on the Owyhee Braves with a sharp 61-36 win on Saturday. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Several Braves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hunter Smart, who posted 16 points and five rebounds. Rolando Espitia was another key player, putting up seven points.

The victory (which was McQueen's third in a row) raised their record to 8-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points per game. As for Owyhee, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

McQueen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-64 win against Galena on the 28th. As for Owyhee, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-29 defeat against Dayton on the 31st.
