The Cornerstone Charter Cardinals will square off against the Central Carolina Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cornerstone Charter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.5 points per game this season.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Cornerstone Charter beat Clover Garden School 49-44. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won three in a row.

It was another big night for Charles Walker, who shot 69% from the field to rack up 23 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jackson Shaffrey, who posted four points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks.

Meanwhile, Central Carolina Academy played a tough contest last Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through an 85-30 loss at the hands of Neuse Charter. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-13.

Despite the defeat, Central Carolina Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jax Gaddy had 16 points. That was a full 53.3% of the Eagles' points, marking the third time in a row Gaddy has earned more than a third of the team's points.

Cornerstone Charter's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Central Carolina Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything came up roses for Cornerstone Charter against Central Carolina Academy in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as the team secured a 63-16 win. In that matchup, the Cardinals amassed a halftime lead of 49-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
