Football Recap: Barnsdall's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Barnsdall needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Lincoln Gott. The Panthers enjoyed a cozy 29-15 win over the Summit Christian Academy Eagles on Thursday for which the team can thank Gott, who rushed for 324 yards and four scores while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Barnsdall is 3-1 when Gott posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

When it comes to explaining why Summit Christian Academy lost, don't look at Jonathan Logan. Despite the final result, he rushed for 51 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Barnsdall's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-3. As for Summit Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Barnsdall has already played their next matchup, a 40-6 win against Afton on the 23rd. As for Summit Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 42-0 defeat against Woodland on the 23rd.
