Basketball Recap: Newton Takes a Loss

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Huntington Red Devils and fell 72-23. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Newton's record is now 1-7. As for Huntington, their win bumped their record up to 13-16.

Newton will venture away from home to square off against Diboll at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Huntington, they will challenge Pollok Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
