Ramona is 9-1 against Valley Center since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. Ramona will be strutting in after a win while Valley Center will be coming in after a loss.

Ramona took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Escondido a 6-0 shutout. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Braelyn Bolen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

In other batting news, Ramona got a big performance out of Savanna Rhea, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Evie Brown was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Valley Center lost 20-2 to Mt. Carmel on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Sundevils: they've now lost six in a row.

Valley Center saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Su'La Devers, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Valley Center's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Ramona, their win bumped their record up to 10-13-1.

Everything went Ramona's way against Valley Center in their previous matchup back in April, as Ramona made off with a 16-2 victory. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
