It was a good run, but Berkeley unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Las Lomas Knights by a score of 2-1. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

Laurel Mcgatlin-Golier paced Berkeley's offense, picking up seven kills. Mcgatlin-Golier got some help from Rubi Silva and her 11 assists. Stella Chen-McDermott controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Berkeley's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Las Lomas, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-5.

Berkeley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against American on the 11th. As for Las Lomas, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Berean Christian on the 14th.
