Football Recap: Fox Creek Piles Up the Points Against Williston-Elko

Fox Creek strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Williston-Elko Blue Devils, posting a 55-8 win. The Predators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

Bryson Crawford produced another solid performance rushing for 217 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. Crawford is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Wallace, who rushed for 77 yards and a pair of scores.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Fox Creek's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: John Truesdell, Noah Gaines, and Gabriel Reyes, who each picked up one sack apiece. Truesdell was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making five total tackles.

Fox Creek's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Williston-Elko, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fox Creek will face off against Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 929 yards in their previous games. As for Williston-Elko, they will challenge Calhoun County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will be up against the Saints' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
