Softball Recap: Arlington Takes a Loss

The Arlington Spy Ponders didn't have quite enough to beat the Wellesley Raiders on Monday and fell 3-1.

Soline Fisher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hailey Lucente made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Olivia Corbett also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Wellesley, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

As of now, neither Arlington nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
