On Thursday, Oxnard was able to grind out a solid win over Rio Mesa, taking the game 3-1.
Oxnard had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-13, 25-19, 25-21.
Jessica Camarillo had a dynamite game, getting 20 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Mila Hernandez, who had nine digs and three aces.
