Volleyball Game Preview: Oxnard Yellowjackets vs. Pacifica Tritons

Oxnard is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Pacifica a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Oxnard Yellowjackets will host the Pacifica Tritons at 6:30 p.m. Pacifica took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Oxnard, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Oxnard was able to grind out a solid win over Rio Mesa, taking the game 3-1.

Oxnard had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-13, 25-19, 25-21.

Jessica Camarillo had a dynamite game, getting 20 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Mila Hernandez, who had nine digs and three aces.

Meanwhile, Pacifica came up short against Dos Pueblos on Thursday and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11, 23-25, 25-13.

Pacifica's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Oxnard, their victory bumped their record up to 10-15.

Everything went Oxnard's way against Pacifica in their previous meeting on September 4th, as Oxnard made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Yellowjackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tritons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
