Soccer Recap: Williamsport vs. Wilkes-Barre
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Williamsport can now relate to. They fell just short of the Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Millionaires were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolfpack apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
Williamsport now has a losing record at 7-8-2. As for Wilkes-Barre, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-7-4.
Williamsport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wilkes-Barre, they will head out to take on Wyoming Valley West at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Wyoming Valley West knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Wilkes-Barre likes a good challenge.
