Soccer Recap: Woodruff Starts Season with Victory Against Travelers Rest

Woodruff took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Travelers Rest Devildogs by a score of 5-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Travelers Rest has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-5 record this season.

Woodruff will face off against Legacy Early College at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Travelers Rest, they will challenge Chapman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Travelers Rest has given up an average of 3.3 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
