Chickasaw fell 41-31 to St. Luke's Episcopal. Chickasaw has struggled against St. Luke's Episcopal recently, as their match on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
St. Luke's Episcopal's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Stephenson, who scored 12 points along with eight steals and three blocks. Stephenson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kalaysia Robinson, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
Chickasaw bumped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.7 points per game. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chickasaw will challenge Washington County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Washington County will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, they will head out on the road to face off against Blacksher at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blacksher will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
