Football Recap: Midland Christian Mustangs vs. Regents Knights
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Midland Christian couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were dealt a 48-15 loss at the hands of the Regents Knights on Friday. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-7.
Even if they lost, Midland Christian's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. They got some further help from Brady Young: he picked up a sack, made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defended one pass.
Jack Devine continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Regents, throwing for 230 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 114 yards and one score while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.
