Baseball Recap: East Liverpool Comes Up Short

East Liverpool had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 1-11 to make it five. They lost 17-0 to the Indian Creek Redskins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redskins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-1 two weeks ago.

As for Indian Creek, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games.

For Indian Creek's part, Hunter Allen looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, Allen posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Ty Householder was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Rusnak, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, East Liverpool will welcome Madonna at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Dons will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Potters surely won't give up without a fight. As for Indian Creek, they will head out on the road to square off against Indian Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Braves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Redskins' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
