Naples won the last time they faced Canterbury and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Golden Eagles pulled ahead with a 76-75 photo finish over the Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Eagles have posted since November 21, 2024.

Canterbury's loss came despite strong showings from Brayden Grossenbaugh and Joe Banks. Grossenbaugh went 12-for-19 en route to 34 points, while Banks shot 60% from the field to rack up 17 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Minton, who posted seven points.

Naples has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 71.0 points this season. As for Canterbury, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Naples will head out to face off against Dunbar at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Golden Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Canterbury, they will be playing at home against Oasis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
