Volleyball Recap: Cumby Takes a Loss

Cumby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sulphur Springs Wildcats. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15.

Cumby's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Sulphur Springs, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Cumby will take on Prairiland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sulphur Springs, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Edgewood on the 16th.
