Basketball Recap: River Dell Takes a Loss

River Dell lost against Ramsey back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The River Dell Golden Hawks were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 64-63 to the Ramsey Rams.

When it comes to explaining why River Dell lost, don't look at Aditya Pandya. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Pat Sweeny was another key player, going 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points.

River Dell has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Ramsey, they pushed their record up to 7-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

When River Dell and Ramsey next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. River Dell will take on Westwood and their four-game winning streak at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. River Dell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Ramsey will try to stop Mahwah's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
