The University Hawks will square off against the Jefferson Cougars at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, University needed a bit of extra time to put away East Fairmont. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bees, sneaking past 10-9.

Max Cash made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Cash was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colson Jenkins, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs.
