Softball Recap: Utica Takes a Loss

Utica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Utica Ford Falcons, falling 13-1. The game marked the Chieftains' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Utica saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Brunning, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Utica now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Utica Ford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Utica will face off against L'Anse Creuse North at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Utica Ford, they will take on St. Clair at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Saints have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
