Football Game Preview: Port St. Lucie Jaguars vs. Westwood Panthers

Port St. Lucie hasn't had much luck against Westwood recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jaguars are taking a road trip to square off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Port St. Lucie has given up an average of 43 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Port St. Lucie's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Jensen Beach on Friday. They had to suffer through a 37-0 loss at the hands of the Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Falcons are ranked 66th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Westwood took on King's Academy on Monday. The Panthers were just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to the Lions.

Port St. Lucie's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Westwood, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Port St. Lucie took a serious blow against Westwood when the teams last played back in October of 2023, falling 41-8. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
