Soccer Game Preview: McKinley vs. Girard + How To Watch

McKinley is 0-8-2 against Girard since September of 2020 but things could change on Monday. The Red Dragons will face off against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. McKinley has given up an average of 5.9 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Saturday just wasn't the day for McKinley's offense. They lost 13-0 to Salem on Saturday. While losing is never fun, McKinley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 548th, while Salem are ranked 165th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Girard, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Crestwood on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Girard as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

McKinley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Girard, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

McKinley might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Girard when the teams last played back in September. Can the Red Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
