Softball Recap: Abernathy Antelopes vs. Petersburg Buffaloes
After losing to Petersburg the last time they met, Abernathy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Abernathy Antelopes blew past the Petersburg Buffaloes 15-5 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Antelopes, who have now won three matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Lily Adames made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up five earned runs off five hits. Those hits were her first of the season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Bryer Cook was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Mallory Gonzalez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
