Baseball Recap: Eastern Greene Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Eastern Greene waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Switzerland County Pacers.

Jacob Bellman made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run.

In other batting news, Brenton Cook was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
