Preview: Davis Darts vs. Riverton Silverwolves
After two games on the road, Davis is heading back home. They will take on the Riverton Silverwolves at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Tuesday, Davis got the win against Mountain Crest by a conclusive 57-36. With Davis ahead 34-11 at the half, the match was all but over already.
T'Maea Eteuati and Kendra Kitchen were among the main playmakers for Davis as the former scored 14 points and the latter scored 19 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Kitchen has scored at least 25% of Davis' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Richards, who scored 6 points.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Riverton beat Roy 56-52 last Tuesday.
Faythe Stauffer was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 27 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Maggie Hamblin, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Davis' victory pushed their record up to 2-0, while Mountain Crest's loss dropped theirs down to 0-2.
