Volleyball Recap: Richland Comes Up Short on the Road Against Hermiston

Richland had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Hermiston Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Bombers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Richland sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 25-18, 22-25, 15-7.

Hermiston's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Richland will face off against rival Kennewick at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hermiston is set to take on their familiar foe Kamiakin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
