Baseball Game Preview: Rio Hondo Bobcats vs. Raymondville Bearkats

The Rio Hondo Bobcats will head out to square off against the Raymondville Bearkats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rio Hondo's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Raymondville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Rio Hondo had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Progreso on Thursday. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Red Ants with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by eight runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Raymondville came up short against Lyford on Thursday and fell 10-5. The Bearkats have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Jacob Sosa made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Raymondville's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Rio Hondo, their win bumped their record up to 16-10.
