Volleyball Recap: American Comes Up Short

American lost against Berkeley back in August of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 2-1.

Among those leading the charge was Neko Ikels, who had 12 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

American has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-7 record this season. As for Berkeley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

American wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Vallejo on the 12th. As for Berkeley, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Piedmont on the 15th.
