Softball Recap: Perth Amboy's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

Perth Amboy fell victim to Ridge and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 9-0 to the Red Devil. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Perth Amboy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiarelys Santiago, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Nicole Cepeda also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

With the defeat, Perth Amboy broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4. As for Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perth Amboy will face off against Carteret at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Ridge, they will challenge Gill St. Bernard's at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
