Basketball Recap: El Rancho Dons vs. Duarte Falcons
El Rancho had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down the Duarte Falcons 53-35 on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for the Dons as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Adam Rivas had a dynamite game for El Rancho, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. What's more, Rivas also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Andrew Morones, who had ten points.
El Rancho will look to take advantage of their home-court for the first time this season as they take on Southlands Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. El Rancho is facing Southlands Christian at the right time seeing as Southlands Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Duarte has already played their next game, a 56-55 victory against Mountain View on the 25th.
