Basketball Recap: Arleta Starts Season with Win Against Legacy

Arleta had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Legacy Tigers as they made off with an 85-64 win.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arleta to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaiah Cacho, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine assists. The dominant performance also gave Cacho a new career-high in boards (four). Damian Martinez was another key player, going 8-for-13 to rack up 16 points along with eight steals and six rebounds.

Looking ahead, Arleta will be taking part in a tournament against Maranatha at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Legacy, they will take on Garfield in a tournament on Tuesday.
