Soccer Recap: Orosi Comes Up Short

Orosi lost against Sunnyside back in December of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Orosi Cardinals lost 3-0 to the Sunnyside Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 823rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 143rd).

Orosi dropped their record down to 1-9-2 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Sunnyside, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orosi will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Woodlake at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Woodlake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season. As for Sunnyside, they will head out on the road to challenge Mendota at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Sunnyside also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 2.8 goals per game.
