Basketball Recap: Columbia Academy Takes a Loss

If Columbia Academy was riding high fresh off their 71-48 takedown of Middle Tennessee Christian last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Columbia Academy Bulldogs took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the University School of Nashville Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-55 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Columbia Academy lost on Tuesday, don't look at Jeremy Jackson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 boards. Jackson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Myers Malone, who posted seven points.

Columbia Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for University School of Nashville, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Columbia Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 48-46 defeat against The Webb School on the 24th. University School of Nashville has also already played their next game (against Middle Tennessee Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
